Idol Zoobiz changes the pace of a Saigon Zoo visit by bringing a staff-led animal procession into the day.
Rather than rushing between enclosures, families can pause to watch the different ways the animals move, then return to a quieter section of the grounds.

Watch movement, not just appearances
Parrots, goats, sheep and geese are among the animals introduced for this activity. Children can look for differences in gait, balance and the way an animal responds when the procession changes direction. Younger children may enjoy following just one animal with their eyes, while older siblings can compare birds and mammals. The line-up can vary, so make observation the focus rather than promising a particular animal before arriving.
Build a manageable zoo route
A short enclosure loop before the procession, followed by a pause to watch, can be more manageable than trying to see the whole zoo at once. Afterwards, decide whether the family has energy for another area. Choose a viewing position that leaves the route clear and keep children close. Feeding or touching should only happen when staff explicitly direct it; the parade is not an invitation to approach animals independently.
Check which Sunday you are choosing
The published pattern is the second and fourth Sunday of the month, with the time and route worth checking before travelling to 2 Nguyen Binh Khiem. Listed zoo admission is height-based: VND 60,000 from 1.3 metres, VND 40,000 from 1 metre to below 1.3 metres, and free below 1 metre when accompanied by a parent. Other zoo activities follow their own timetables, so do not treat this as a weekly parade.

Choose one main moment and one rest point; do not make children complete the whole programme.
