Indoor ideas

IndoorAll ages; children 0–3 can enjoy the tanks with an adult. Children under 80 cm currently enter free.

Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi

Below Lotte Mall West Lake, this indoor aquarium combines smaller exhibits with a main tank used for marine-life presentations. Mall dining makes a flexible family outing possible, but height-based tickets, food restrictions and programme timing matter more than trying to see every scheduled activity.

IndoorAll ages; the aquarium is the most suitable section for ages 0–3. VinKE role-play activities are mainly for older children.

Vinpearl Aquarium Times City

Times City's aquarium brings together a walk-through tunnel, penguins and reptile exhibits within an indoor mall outing. It is distinct from neighbouring VinKE career role play, so ticket selection matters. Families can build a shorter visit around favourite animals rather than combine every attraction.

Outdoor ideas

OutdoorAll ages; ages 1–3 can readily watch larger animals and birds. Babies 0–1 need shade and frequent breaks.

Hanoi Zoo – Thu Le Park

Hanoi Zoo combines animal viewing with outdoor paths around Thu Le Lake. The important distinction is operational: animal-display hours finish earlier than the park grounds close. Families should plan around the zoo's daytime window rather than assume an evening park visit includes the same animal experience.

OutdoorA short walking section can suit different ages with close adult supervision near extensive water edges. Do not assume every lawn, play area or path suits strollers or under-threes.

Yen So Park

Yen So offers lakeside paths and lawns for an outdoor family break in southern Hanoi. A February 2026 ward report documents a management handover and improvements. Older advertisements for tents, bicycles or barbecues should not be treated as evidence that those services or permissions still apply.

OutdoorAll ages; good for a short stroller walk, early walking practice and observing trees and the lake with ages 0–3.

Thong Nhat Park

Around Bay Mau Lake, Thong Nhat Park now has an opened perimeter following the fence removal documented in December 2025. This supports short walks from surrounding streets, but families need a clear meeting point and attention to the transitions between park paths, traffic and the lake.
