Walking and riding offer children different viewpoints on animals' movements and resting habits.
Follow one behaviour
Try letting your child choose an animal that is resting or moving and describe what they see before guessing why. Animals may stay together, separate or change position, and small changes can make an interesting story. When moving from a walking area to the vehicle section, ask what becomes easier to see from that viewpoint and what is harder to notice.
A walk and a vehicle journey
You could plan a morning around the Safari vehicle journey, a short walking circuit and a meal break. Choose walking stops from the map according to the children's energy after the ride rather than adding many at the start. Before leaving, let everyone describe one behaviour they noticed, so the shared memory goes beyond a list of animal names or photographs.
Programmes and park rules
Published daytime hours are 09:00–16:00. Confirm evening and children's programmes separately because language pages differ. Check included vehicles, stroller handling and baby-food rules. Under-14s need an accompanying adult. Follow staff instructions for any feeding, and keep noise and thrown objects away from animals throughout the visit.
