Thu Le combines zoo viewing with a park walk, allowing a family to alternate animal observation and time among trees. The useful choice is how much ground to cover: a few well-chosen stops can give children more to remember than an uninterrupted enclosure circuit.
A few animals to observe
Try picking a small number of animal areas before setting out. Watch for size, movement or the sounds around an enclosure, then let the child say which detail caught their attention. An animal resting quietly offers a different observation from one moving about. If a favourite is out of view, continue the walk rather than making everyone wait indefinitely. Children can learn to look carefully without expecting a response from the animals.
The paths are part of the visit
Connect those stops with a short section of park paths and choose a clear place to turn back. You could pause to compare the scale of a tree with an enclosure or simply let the youngest member rest. With siblings, agree that another animal area is optional after the break. Keeping the return distance modest leaves more energy for enjoying the surroundings instead of concentrating only on reaching the exit.
Zoo hours differ from park hours
The animal displays publish 08:00–16:00 hours, separate from the longer park opening. Check admission products and any children's play charges. Stay behind barriers and close to children near the lake; ask about suitable stroller paths before setting off.
