The Children's Cultural Library at 31 Trang Thi gives books their own child-focused setting within the National Library. Its Vietnam–Korea cooperation model connects reading with cultural materials, making it an interesting place for families who use more than one language at home.
Books across languages
Try asking for books around a subject the child enjoys, then explore the available Vietnamese, English or Korean material. Comparing covers, illustrations or ways of telling a story can be engaging even when the child reads only one language. The space's Dream Tree design provides another visual detail to notice. You could ask what kind of book belongs on the child's own imaginary tree rather than choosing only by reading level.
From registration to the Dream Tree
Make the first route simple: complete card registration, find a comfortable starting point and choose a few books together. Let the child stay with one that catches their attention before looking for another activity. If a cultural session is available and suitable, it can become a separate reason to return. A short first visit helps the family learn how the place works without needing to use every part of the introduced model.
Paired cards and service hours
Bring the child's birth certificate for checking and allow for an on-site photograph. Cards cost VND 40,000 yearly; ages 3–5 use paired child/guardian cards totalling VND 80,000. Ask separately for under-threes and confirm reading hours, not just card-desk hours.
