Recognisable figures and patterns give children a starting point for exploring Cham art.
From detail to story
Try choosing two works with something in common, then compare their hands, posture or decorative details. Labels can connect what you see with where an object was found and what it represents. Let children ask questions first and read together to find answers. This makes the collection a shared investigation rather than a lesson that requires adults to know every name beforehand.
A few works to remember
You could spend around 45–60 minutes with one group of sculptures, then let each person choose a detail to remember. Afterwards, children might sketch it from memory in a suitable place outside the galleries. If the family wants an outdoor extension, nearby APEC Park offers a change from historic sculpture to contemporary architecture and public art, with a different scale to notice.
Hours and current activities
The 2026 visitor information lists 07:30–17:00. Confirm admission, step-free access and current activities before travelling. The National Treasures exhibition held from 19 November to 25 December 2025 has ended. Inside the galleries, keep hands away from objects and remind children to stay off display bases.
